The Chamberlain Gardens Aged Care project involved the construction of a 2 level infill within an existing U shaped high care dementia facility.
Completed over 2 stages, the new building was constructed from brick, masonry and pvc cladding to match the existing building.
The infill was purpose built to house lounge and dining room facilities, nurse stations, medical rooms and staff amenities. Other works included in ground services, fire services, the extension to existing carpark and a visitors meeting room.
Final completion and handover was delivered on time and within budget for this operational facility.
This 4.2 million 3-stage project at Lakefront Retirement Village involved DCL Constructions working closely with the client and architect to develop DA documentation into construction.
Stage 1 involved the full refurbishment of 28 bedsit serviced apartments as well as communal facilities including lounge and dining areas, commercial kitchen, laundry and amenities.
Stage 2 saw the construction and installation of 4 external lifts connecting ground and 1st floors.
Stage 3 delivered extensive refurbishment work to 102 -bed apartments.
External works completed over the 3 stages included paving and landscaping as well as the integration of pergolas and walkways between existing buildings
